My Front Page

Hi there Ladies.
I have had a very busy two weeks. Not much scrapping happening at my house these days. but nevertheless I decided to sign up for Shimeele's class Something from[almost] Nothing anyway ,as she promises that we can complete this course anytime.....I will complete this book after "The Wedding". Last week we were away for my Mother in Law's memorial service and I  decided it was a perfect time to make the cover of my book "Celebrate Life".
It is Spring in Greece and on the island of Lesvos the mountains and fields are full of beautiful spring flowers,I tried to capture that feeling in my drawing.I wish I could draw better!! I had my pencil crayons with me and this is what I drew on aquarelle paper.I also cut out some words from a magazine

As the whole objective of this course is to use up what we have stashed,I did just that. I am a squirrel of note I HOARD!!!I believe in re-cycling so the hoarding takes on gigantic proportions, to add insult to injury scrapping supplies fall short in Greece and are almost non existant so I also keep things that I may be able to alter and use.....sorry I am rambling now!! Anyway I have a pile of shopping bags that I was planning to use as pages for albums,so I used the smaller ones for this book(I have bigger ones for a 30x30 album too!!)
So here are the pages, now that I see the photo, I thnk I should iron the paper first. It is going to be a post bound album.

The paper on the back cover is from my decoupage stash and it has been  in my paper folder  for about 10 years, dont you just love the South African Louries and King-Fishers??
Have a lovely Saturday, don't forget to celebrate life!

Secret-Santa or Fairy God-Mother?

Today I received a parcel from Weezie. I was totally overwhelmed by such kindness!! Weezie was my Secret-Santa back in December on Life on the {Scrap}Beach and she posted me a stunning gift. The parcel had all sorts of things in it, amongst which were some beautiful note books and folios that Weezie had covered. I was thrilled  to own something created by her,as Ihad  always admired Weezies  "Amazing Albums"(Minis). A couple of weeks later Weezie mailed me and told me that she found the lovely Mariposa paper on sale and that she had bought some for me.
Ok I was expecting a pad or two.......but wow today I received this huge box of  goodies.I loved the paper .But I was thrilled with all the hand made roses made with the Que Sera-Sera Papers.are they not just too stunnung?

This is Weezies beautiful card all Glimmer misted and please notice the re-cycled buckle.

I opened the tissue paper last, and in that was this beautiful Concertina Box to match the books which she had sent at Christmas. I think that it is absolutely perfect, please note the little feet, they are huge dew drops!!!

Thank -you Weezie for this amazingly generous gesture, I feel as if I have had a visit from my Fairy God-Mother.
May God bless you.
