Today and some flowers,,,

Hi there Ladies.
I hope that you are  having a good time and that you are all resting a little....I mean all of the girls in the Northern Hemisphere where we are having summer...for those down south.....wrap up and keep warm!
It is 1 am here in Athens and I thought I would share a couple of things that I have made this past week.
Fistly here is another L.O. using a photo of my daughter on her wedding day (still have many more to scrap) I will enter it ,for the Bird is the Word Challenge the word is "Today"
I used mainly Crate paper for this page as well as some Prima flowers. The embellies are a mixture of Bo Bunny and Pink Paislee

Then I have a couple of hand- made flowers to share.....As most of you know I am following lessons at
Miss Arts Papercrafting School I am having such fun!
These are 3 flowers that Lisa Valentine showed us in her lesson Fanciful Flowers, take a look at her blog A Random Purpose Life it is really worth your while!!

My acrylic rose...used Cranberry alcohol ink with Pearl mixative with blending solution.

My faux silk flowers (sorry bottom flower little out of focus!)  I should of  had more creases in my tissue paper....I used Antique Linen Distress Stain and Vintage Photo Distress Inksd for the edges, the press stud in the center give the flower a funky feel.
My metal rose, OK I had to improvise here as I had neither plumbers foil tape nor a vibrant Crackle Paint!!
This is what I did...I stuck  thin kitchen foil.....that's what I had.... heavy foil was also not available in my kitchen (it would have been better!!) Anyway I used my ATG tape to stick the foil to both sides of my cardstock, I cut out the Tattered Florals, embossed them....then painted the flowers with regular acrylic paint allowed it to dry then I added Crackle Medium....my only problem was that the acrylic paint would not peel off the metal once dried as much as Lisas' peeled off...she used Crackle Paint! So as a result a lot of metal is not visible.
I hope you like them...if you have any questions feel free to ask...
Have a good week-end.
Love.

Some Hand Embossing...

Hi there ladies.
I must say that on Moday when I had a look at the challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show I  was a little dissapointed, because as you know I am not at home. My Big Shot is at home....so I thought I will have to I would have to sit this one out, as  I could not do any embossing!
On Tuesday morning we opened a new bottle of Tahini for breakfast....I saw the foil and washed and saved it,,,,,an flashbulbs started flashing....embossing hand embossing!! Woopie!!

So yesterday I streamed on my channel Zeffy Scraps and I made this tag with embossing!!
I used my Martha Steward Score Board that was delivered here on Monday, and I scored my tag at 1/4" intervals then flipped it around and scored it again...so we have checks Voila!
I folded foil and glued it down (4layers) and pressed it over a Tim Holtz stamp using my bone folder...see video here I then inked the foil with some Smooch Spritz...glued it down carefully with  Studio Multi -medium...
I decided to give the dressform a bosom...the real ones do have a bust after all!
I used some batting, but a tiny ball of paper would have been better....then I added some foil from a chocolate for the bodice....
I have a little piece of  Basic Grey "Out of Print" that I cut with a lace border punch under my gathered lace...
The green belt is cord that I wrapped around the waist...and used an ear-ring for bling...
Please note the foil circle from the Tahini under the flower and dress form...it has been hand embossed with my stylus, inked and covered with tiny tiny tiny balls!!!
I hope you like it..if you have any questions, just ask...
Lots of love....and....keep cool!

Scrapping on Vacation,the video

Hi there my Scrapbooking Friends.
In my older post,  Scrapping on Vacation I had promised you a video of my vacation stash and space...here it is...eventually.....I filmed it 3 times, and it is still shaky and all over the place...I am sure you will get the picture, and an idea of the enviroment in which I am blessed to create.
At the end of the video you will see a bit of the tag I made today for  a challenge...I did it on USTREAM this morning and I will post photos and details of the project tomorrow.

Keep cool!

MR.Cool

Hi there my Friends.
today I want to show you a L.O. I did for the Color Combo Galore #200 Challenge...it is their 200th "anniversary" and great things are on the go!
THESE ARE THE COOL COLOURS THAT WE WERE TO USE...
Even though I am on vacation and have a limited amount of supplies with me, I decided to take on the challenge...I had a photo of my son Michael that I thought had the correct colours...and the supplies in my vacation stash that I could use were a piece of Basic Grey distressed yellow paper.the blue bazzil....as well as a Pearl Dabber and Broken China Distress ink....I do know that the colour are not an exact match, but I think that they are near enough..I hope you think so too!!

I tried to make drips with Glimmer Glaze, over the stamped writing, but I never liked it, so the best I could so was to just smudge it over the print..(boo hoo!)
My son is a s cool as and ice-cream lolly..thats what the girls think anyway............
ok guys ...I am off for a swim in this fantastic sea!
BE COOL(always)

Hope

Hi there My Scrappy Friends.
All of my scrapbooking equipment is all set up and my first L.O. is ready.
On the spur of the moment I decided to stream while making this L.O.....you can see me battling with the wind here...on Zeffy Scraps.
Due to this economic climate I called my L.O. "My Hope, always flies high"

I will enter this L.O. in 2 challenges the first will be for Bird id the Word I started the L.O. with Nadia's sketch in mind but I changed it slightly so that my elements could reflect the playing cards in the corner of the Glitz paper.."Love Games"and of course I used the word HOPE
I also used some faux stitching around my photo so I am sure the DT on Simon says Stamp and Show would love to see my work...
That is it for now....I have not forgotten about the video...
Happy scrapping..

Scrapping on Vacation

Hi there my Scrapbooking Friends.

As you can see I am on Holiday! Today after being here for a week I finally started un-packing my things and setting up "shop" so to say.......
Before I continue telling you about my space let me tell you about my yellow bag.....you see we arrived here{Lesvos} with the ferry...so we needed to be able to carry our luggage on board...the things in the photo are my scrap stuff...I still had a bag of clothes ,ect..ect!
So, when I was leaving home I had yellow bag {big enough to hold 32x32 pizza box stuffed with paper} slung over my shoulder and I was carrying my beachbag plus coolerbag, plus biggish handbag.I was climbing down the marble staircase, most stairs are clad in marble in Greece,,,and my foot got caught in my baggy pants (I needed to be comfy for the 9 hour boat trip!)
As I was saying, my foot got caught and I was in a downward momento so I went flying headfirst down the stairs...No hands..my hands were full!...So I just fell and fell hard!! Thank goodness I landed on my bags ,the yellow bag saved me from breaking an arm  because somehow I landed on top of the bag with the box and so my arm did not smash against the marble ...although the box did poke me in the breast (still sore..and bruised!.) So ladies scrapbooking saved me from serious injury.

I have set out my things in an area just off the main balcony,,,if not too windy I move outside and scrap...yes the little yellow table is my worktable and the rest of the things  will be laid out around me...will show you  final set-up in the video tomorrow...

Keep well, have fun, take lots of photos...
Love Zeffy.
