WOYWW and ATC swap

Hi there Ladies.

The reason why I almost never posted today is that I have a mystery project on the go...some clues on my desk...yes yes the photo is over exposed!
You can also spot my album that I made with Nektaria's papers and also a teeny tiny ATC size booklet I made with the scraps....the book with the flying pigs is my Hand Bound Art Journal made by Moi!!
Will the lady whose name is before mine please mail me her addie so I can post her ATC tomorrow...I will send one or two more ATC's to a couple of ladies...

Smile....

Hi there Scrapbooking Friends.
Today I want to show you a L.O. that has been inspired from many blogs and challenge sites.
I took this photo on my daughters' 2nd wedding anniversary, and knew I needed to scrap it. I told her to smile for me again, next to the same flowers, 2 years later...
The colours and many of the elements are inspired by the clever CSI Team....here is a photo of some of my old stash that I pulled this morning!! Papers are over 2 years old as are the brads and alphas...spot the old envelope...

Here is my L.O.

I used the sketch on Get Creative by Melenia. Here are some details of the ladybugs,...we call little insects Gogos in South Africa, the G sounding like the "ah" in Ahmed!

The ladybirds are paper pieced, glossy accented and crackle accented!
CSI wanted us to use some Gogos sorry insects in our evidence, as well as stitching and paint spots...I also journaled in  a spiraly fashion saying that I hope my Grand-Son who is going to be brought up in Greece will still know what a Gogo is and that he will grow up to respect nature.

This L.O. will be submitted to Use it Tuesday thanks guys, I used my brads, alphas and 2 sheets of old paper. I also used my re-cycled envelope for a photo mat, so that should make Scrap for Help happy, And because my family is all smiles the ladies at Bird Is the Word will be happy too.
Here is that L.O. that I made of Faye 2 years ago.
She is wearing a Greek Worrior helmut, that her cousin who was here for the wedding had bought that morning from the tourist area Monastiraki....very apt.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Summer at Last

Hi there My Friends.
This past week I have been playing with ATCs and tiny ATC size books..I will show it all to you  on
Zeffy Scraps
I needed to make a birthday card for today and I also wanted to play along at Simon Says stamp and Show and they want us to show them a Summer Holiday...

When I think Summer I think Greek Islands, so what better paper to use than 7Gypsies Mykonos collection. I wanted to use my Fiskars Threading Water punch but it broke as I cut that blue bazzil!! So we have a bit of paper and some ric-rac symbolizing the sea...
In Summer we have many  religious holidays' which are a good opportunity to get out of our bathing suites and shorts and dress up a little....here you can see Marci in her Sunday best.....all coloured in with Rangers Distress Markers!!
Happy Summery Week-end...

Be Warned!!

Hi there...
Neat Freaks I suggest you do not look further, and pop over to the Stamping Ground and check out Julies'
desk and many more that I am sure are a lot tidier than mine!
What happened? You may ask...well last night I journaled in my brand new art journal that I made on Saturday, it is on the chair....only I am not hasppy to show the page...its from the heart, you understand...the two pages that you see are backgrounds ready for more arty journaling..

Looking at this desk you will not believe if I told you that I spent Monday afternoon re-organizing and sorting out stuff...you can see my new set of  black plastic drawers, I needed something for my new Distress Markers and for my journaling pens.I found the drawers at Leroy Merlin for 10.60 Euros..the only problem with them is that the drawers slide right out!! No stopping system..but they are deep!
I also went and bought myself one more 4 cube Expedit..so now I have a cubby for my journaling sprays, stamps and masks...although it looks that they will live on the floor while journaling....will see how it evolves..
My letter stamps now also have a spot on hand. If anybody has good advice on how to store masks in a handy manner I will love to hear ..oh and that bag behind the blue box thats my dustbin I need an idea for a bin up high so that my stamps and Nesties don't fall into it!
That is it for today, I need to go and tidy up...and then go and see what I get get up to..
Happy scrapping!

Adore

Hi again
I have just finished my L.O. for Case file #19 on CSI  Today I worked with a sketch from Sketches With A Twist although I did not use 3 photos and I also omitted a lot of the embellishments, however the little booklet takes the place of one of the photos. It was an interesting sketch and a lovely starting point for my L.O.

Blue spotted paper is from Fancy Pants and the background paper and the green paper with the small floral is from Cosmo Cricket "Odds and Ends" The blue butterfly, the banners, the circular embellie and the wood-paper that the booklet is made of is from the free downloadables that are on CSI by Michele Singh
I used a mask from Dylusions to create my back-ground circles and the flowers that are peeping out behind the column,.yes and the ADORE photo mat is from Heidi Swapp.
CSI Evidence.1 bookpapers...    .check
                       2 circles................check
                       3 small patterns    check
                       4 woodgrain.........check
                       5 border punch.....check
Testimony, some journaling in a circle, the rest of the journaling is in the tab booklet and it says how calm my sister was on her wedding day and how she adores her children!
I forgot to mention that the  ruffled flower was from her wedding favours. oh yes can you can spot the "washi" tape by me?

Keep scrapping.
Love

Super Company!

Morning Scrapbookers.
This mornings' L.O. was inspired by this fabulous photo of all of my Scrapbooking Friends in Athens and by Shimelle's Super Size project on 2 Peas in a Bucket.
My friend Lena, form Enjoy Scrapping asked us to tell her why we enjoy scrapbooking so much as a challenge for NSD.
Besides enjoying and getting tremendous pleasure from playing with paper I have been blessed with the honour of meeting many fantastic and faboulously creative friends here in Athens and all over the world!!
This photo was taken on Friday at a surprise birthday part we organized for our sweet friend Katerina Laiopoulou
Have a great day..

Delusions of Dyan

Hi there Scrapbooking Buddies.
Yes we are at the end of another week...Wednesday came and went and I only remembered about WOWW on Thurday morning!! Sorry Ladies I will pop over and visit over the week-end.
As you realize I was pre-occupied with all sorts of things and the Greek situation is not making things very easy for a lot of families in Greece including mine!!

The one consolation however is..my new toys from Dylusions...my work is far, far, from perfect and no-where near the fabulous Dyan Reaveley!! But here is something I made for my album, that I created with Nektaria's beautiful papers...the book is almost finished I still  need to personolize it with photos, journaling and finer embellishments, I am having fun working on something that will be mine!!

I was also playing around last night and made this tag..

Have a lovely week-end and hopefully I will see you on Sunday with my submission for Color Stories Inspiration...Oh yes check it out I was STAR Witness this week!!

My Mom

Hi Ladies.
Mothers Day has come and gone and I have only now got down to upload my L.O. that I made about 10 days ago on Zeffy Scraps
I made this L.O.because I was inspired by the talented Gals on Get Creative to create a L.O. about our Mothers using lots of flowers!!
I went Prima crazy, using the Songbirds collection the paper name "Zephyr" I chose it because my Mom loved wild flowers and this paper reminded me of them. By the way some people also called me Zephyr as I was growing up..
My journaling is personal and emotional so it is tucked away and the glassine envelope hold more journaling paying homage to her!!!A young woman that left home at 17 and became a Mum at 19 in a new country without her family.......
Here is to all the Mums out there!
I salute you...

It is Sunday...again

Hi there my Friends.
It is amazing how time just flies ...we are almost in the middle of May..
Yes, Sunday is the closing day for CSI case files. I worked on this L.O.this morning and it is almost 3.30pm and I have not posted yet!!!
This was Case File #18...a beauty...
And here is my L.O.

This L.O looks a little top heavy to me...I think it's the big flowers, but I loved this photo of my niece and nephew..and Athina's head was cropped so I added a flower mmmmm....not a good move what do you think...I also journaled on the flowers, I liked that!
Both of these lovely children are my brothers' and they live in South africa so I hardle ever see them, so sad!
Papers are from Kaiser Craft "Sweet Nothings and the telephone embellie is from My Minds Eye Stella Rose.
The twirled ribbon is from a swap, it's lovely..
Have a good Sunday.

Some Colour Inspiration.

Hello there.
As another week comes to an end it is time to show you my L.O. that was inspired by file # 17 at
CSI. I was very happy this week because I was on the CSI watch list.
Anyway I don't know how and why you scrap, but as I was telling a friend the other day, scrapping for me  must come from the heart! I need to feel the passion for the L.O. I am working on...
I had an idea for this challenge and it was more about  the enviroment  around our neighbourhood....that plan went out the window when I accidently found this photo whilst looking for an old photo of my Mum..........this phot made my heart sing it made me happy I needed to scrap it.....Viola!!!
The paper is from Sassafras there is coloured music paper on the other side and the little border under the denim is its border strip...I used some of the downloadables from CSI, eg. the banners and the Horoscope wheel.
Some of the evidence that I used was the music paper, stars, something translucent (I used vellum)circles.
My testimony was my jouranling that I wrote in two circles.
"You are the centre of MY UNIVERSE.Even though Libra and Virgo do not make a good pair...
My Love...You are the energy that gives me life. You are the sunshine of my day.You are the star of my nights.
Without you I am but an empty core!
You are my light, you are my breath,my heart......
I leave you on that sentimental note...

Hi there...
Last night I did a little USTREAMing, its been ages since the last show on  Zeffy Scraps. I decided that I needed to make some cards  for some weddings and birthdays that we have coming up. Over at Simon Says Stamp and Show, the guys want to see some colour....a kaleidoscope of colour in fact. So here is my Marci card.
I coloured the stamp."Marci with Rose" with my new Distress Markers, I do not have many colours, but it was fun playing around with my new water brush and also with  the white pigment ink marker from Ranger called Picket Fence. ( I am not a pro stamp colour inner!) The pink border around the Melissa Frances paper is Worn Lipstick Distress Stain.
Elina from Cherry Nest gave me two Embossing powders from Lindys Stamp Gang to try, she is now stocking the products at her on-line store. So I decided to emboss the lace detail  I used the Byzantine Bronze  embossing powder and as it is a fine powder it was perfect for the intricate detail of the lace...
I must also mention that the sentiment stickers are from Anna Griffin. I added the doily behind the sticker.
Here is the second card I made last night...this lollipop flower is my favourite....it is not stuck on,because I am not sure I can part with this flower yet.....crazy hey?...I played around today trying to find a way to duplicate this pretty flower,  I have some paper drying will ,will see how my flowers turn out when they are dry....
That's it I am off to bed, did a lot of housework today and I am bushed!!(S.African slang for knackered!)

What's on my Workdesk and some up- cycled Drawers

Hi there Friends,
I took some photos to show my desk, for WOYWW and wow when I see this photo I realiselise how untidy I am!! Lucky for me I can function amongst clutter!! I took all these things out yesterday afternoon so I could make some cards on my show Zeffy Scraps on USTREAM....but my Laptop was so slow last night that I spent the evening removing about 1000 photos plus instead!!

Amongst the ribbon and lace you will see a Melissa Grances Paper pad C'est la Vie...not mad for it, a bit washed out.. and some yummy Sentiment Stickers from Anna Griffin.. hopefully by the end of today they will turn into lovely wedding cards!!
This is a cute box we will be making at my workshop on Saturday, National scrapbooking Day..
This box is great for storing photos or journaling spots!

And last but not least my pride and joy!! My lovely wooden drawers that I picked up on the roadside turned into shelves for my rubber stamps and a cork-board..

Yesterday on my walk I spotted a wooded cubby, maybe I should go and save that too??
Heres wishing you a good month.
Love.
Zeffy.
